Any BC LAT teachers out there?

What is your work life balance like? How late are you usually at school? What’s the best/worst part of the job?

I’ve been teaching in AB for 10 years but was born and raised on the island and am coming back to BC to be closer to family. I have a masters in special education and am looking at becoming a LAT teacher. I have a lot of experience with reading interventions/science of reading/working with kids with learning disabilities, ASD and ADHD. I enjoy administering and interpreting assessments and also collaborating with teachers, families, and other district professionals.

I’m just trying to get a feel for what this job entails as we don’t have anything similar to it in my AB school board.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
