What do you drive?

Vulcan (s) owners only:

What is your 4 wheel vehicle when you are not riding motorcycle?

Just thought it would be fun to see. I love all Japanese vehicles but I’m also a new 50 year old lol and unless it’s an old muscle car/truck etc I find most vehicles let me down so I currently own a 2023 5.7 V8 tundra. Best truck I’ve ever owned. All black it is the TRD/PRO edition. In 2 years I’ll be able to retire because of investments and smart choices, but I’m looking forward to actually just keeping my Vulcan s and maybe buying a second one… and owning no other cars etc. not even my truck. My wife has a 4 runner TRD/pro and she will also be retiring. Since where we live is always warm/hot, etc, I jokingly but now seriously had the discussion why not just ride my motorcycle all the time? If I need to ride in a vehicle etc I’ll just ride with her. ???

Until I’m too old to ride this seems like an awesome and fun idea.

No other bike

You know it’s funny… I’m almost 50, very young at heart lots of energy… as a young little kid I had all kinds of 3-wheelers, dirt bikes etc, got my DL at 16, and had to borrow my parent’s extra vehicle ( dodge K car remember those???) to go to school etc. by the time I graduated I didn’t have a car, but I had my endorsement for motorcycles. So I had saved up enough to buy a Honda nighthawk.

After college, jobs etc I went through a few Hondas, upgraded to a Harley ( did I say upgrade?) the Harley I had was two years old and only 3,000 miles on it, looked great, sounded great, complete garbage, parts vibrating off, ridiculous. So in my next five years I had a katana, loved it but crotch rockets are gilded, traded and added money to buy a triumph cafe racer. Amazing bike. In my late twenties, got married, had a kid, no more bikes for awhile purchased my first vehicle with 4 wheels. Where I live it’s warm all year. So I had to get serious, kept the triumph for wind therapy for a few more years,

Then …for an anniversary gift, my ex wife bought me a Harley fat boy. Beautiful bike, brand new. First brand spanking new bike I ever had. I wanted to like it, because I like the cruiser feel. Horrible bike. Just awful. Lots of problems like my first Harley.

In mid 2000,s after my divorce I bought a Honda shadow. Amazing bike, compared to Harley it felt faster even though it was less CC.. I would trade with my brother’s triumph bobber every so often. And then in 2016 I purchased and traded my shadow for the Vulcan S 2016…

And I fell in love. Even with modifying muffler, after market, this bike 650cc rides like a cruiser but with that crotch rocket torque, it really is the best bike I e ever had. So much so in 2021 I purchased the one pictured above, no problems reliable, fast, and it seems Japanese bikes ( and cars) are just the best.

So… I think we here own the best model of any motorcycle there is. And in 2028 -2030 I’m buying a second one… I love the Vulcan s.

That’s all…lol sorry for my rant

King announced today that the third talisman book , OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE will be the last talisman novel , and the last Dark tower book…

I feel as though King is nearing the end of his writing journey. It’s ok, he has said everything there really is to say. What a journey!
