^I’m retaking the test for this section and want some help improving. I support myself so affordability and experience are key- my target test date is first week of August.
Thanks in advance!
I’m seriously so exhausted from this test. I took it three times and in all three times, during the cars section I happen to blank right as the section begins, no matter how aware I am of my real time blanking, I can’t bring myself to focus at all. I would read the words but they won’t make any God dam sense and I scored 122 consistently.
I seriously can’t think about taking this test again without knowing what the €£^%£* is the issue. During my practice this was the section I feared the most and as a result did the worst in. Earlier scores I would get 122-123 and then later I got 127s which I thought was good enough since I don’t even want to ace it, I just want a 125 at least. Three times and this is the one section stopping me. I got tutored by someone and it didn’t work. I paid extra money for cars lessons. and it still didn’t work. I can’t believe I have to give up this entire career path because of one section of a beast of an exam I took not once, not twice, but three times just to get one section straight.
I don’t know what to do. Seriously, I’m so done. I have no idea if anyone can help me at this point. Maybe I need to finally get the hint from God this isn’t for me.
Thanks for reading this. I would label it vent, but I seriously do want advice so I labeled it as a question.
Have gone through some pretty serious stuff with family life and it really affected my work. I was a third year university student at the time and because I couldn’t cope properly, I started seeing my once pristine work habits become so bad that after three years of honest hard work, I was barely passing my classes, my GPA dropped significantly and took a while to graduate. I had aspirations of doing more schooling but to do that, I would need to commit myself to do a lot of hard work, both school and work related.
I got diagnosed with anxiety, depression and PTSD, was recommended to go on meds but I seriously can’t do this crap. I had a dear friend of mine who spiralled from his dependence and is now in a really bad mental state (dare I say worse than before). I have seen people overcome these diagnoses by being pretty apathetic about them, seeing them as labels and really improving their lifestyle on the side to get healthy again. I gained a lot of weight from binge eating, so getting back to the gym has also been a goal of mine for years.
I desperately need advice that actually works on how to get disciplined again. It’s been almost four years of me being in a slump, procrastinating everything, ruined my relationships with my profs, mentors, got fired from my job because I wouldn’t show up sometimes. It’s just so bad that I have no faith in my ability to fix up anymore. Thinking about all the work I have to do to fix my life makes me want to crawl in a hole and never come out. How do people do work? I tried the toxic discipline, the one that urges you to screw your feelings and that ur opps are working harder yada yada.. It just made me laugh. I tried the cold plunges, the go on a run, the eat healthy and fix your diet. It honestly only helped me improve my physical health, but my school work and job were still pending work.
I seriously can’t take it anymore and I can’t keep working minimum wage forever. I need to develop better work habits to get myself out of the slump and I don’t know what else is left to do that I haven’t done.
Anyone who did it can you share some insights into how? How did you find the LSAT compared to the MCAT? What made you make the switch? How long did you study for LSAT? Were you able to get into law school right away or did it take a few tries? Any insight helps
