Hi guys, I’ve had this plant for like four years but suddenly it’s starting to shrivel up at the base. I had two other cuttings of it that I gave my mom, and the same thing happened to both of them — they shriveled up completely after like 8-9 months separated. Is there anything I can do to save it? Or should I cut part of it out so the whole plant doesn’t die?

For reference, it’s placed on a shelf with a medium amount of light and I water it lightly every 1-2 weeks. It’s been fine in this apartment since August and before that I never had any remote problems with it, other than it overgrowing a previous pot and needing to get split up.
