How difficult was it to get your first 5-10 testimonials? What strategy worked for you to get them?

If you successfully launched a side project:

  • Who was your target customer (tech or non-tech users)?
  • Did you notice a difference in response rates between technical and non-technical users?
  • How many users did you actually have to reach out to before hitting your first 5-10 testimonials?
  • Did you get those by manual outreach? Was it easy, or did you have to send multiple reminders?
  • If your initial users completely ignored your outreach, how did you change your strategy to get them to reply later?
  • Did anyone manage to get these first few reviews completely automatically without manual DMs or emails?

Where are your first users actually coming from — Google, ChatGPT, or somewhere else?

Where are your first users actually coming from — Google, AI tools like ChatGPT, social media, or somewhere else entirely?
