SRM Medical College KTR - MBBS campus life?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been a silent spectator on this sub for sooo long and I’ve seen so many posts about SRM, but I barely see anything about the medical students.

I’m seriously considering joining SRM KTR for MBBS, and I have a few questions about what life is actually like there for medical students.

One of the main reasons I’m interested in SRM is because from what I’ve seen, there seems to be a pretty good balance between academics and having a life outside academics. There’s always some event, fest, activity or something happening on campus, and students seem to actually have fun.

Butttt one thing I’ve noticed is that in most of the event posts/videos, I see students from almost every department except Medicine

So I really wanted to ask the MBBS students here:

  • How is campus life for MBBS students at SRM KTR?
  • Do medical students actually get to participate in fests, events and other college activities?
  • How strict is the schedule/attendance?
  • How is the workload and academic pressure?
  • What are the professors and clinical postings like?
  • How is the hostel life, if anyone has experience with it?
  • And most importantly, is there actually a good balance between MBBS and having a personal/social life?
  • What would you say are the pros and cons of doing MBBS at SRM

I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from current students or recent graduates. Please don’t hesitate to mention the negatives too I’m trying to get a realistic idea before making such a huge decision.

Also I will be À day scholar so hostel trauma won’t apply ig

Any information or personal experiences would genuinely help me out. Thank youuu!!

Is srm worth it for mbbs?

please help me out 🙏🏻😭
