Games that used to run fine (Windows) freeze on Linux Mint
I very rarely use Reddit, so apolegies if there are some social things I'm missing on here.
I've installed Linux Mint on my gaming laptop which has the following info in the System Information tab on Linux:
I usually play games like Borderlands 2, Deep Rock Galactic, both of which were able to run just fine before on the exact same hardware. But for some unknown reason, the games will freeze up at random points (I don't know if it is when too much is happening in the game or something?).
Installed through Steam + installed the Linux stuff Steam recommended by default.
Would love to also send a crash-report of sorts, but when I say freeze, I mean: I get locked out. Keyboard stops responding, mouse doesn't do anything, and all I can do is force-close my laptop (which seems to have caused even more issues, as my Windows key no longer responds).
I'm at a loss and don't know what to do or who/where to ask. If this is the wrong forum, I hope you can point me in the right direction.
Thank you. Kind regards, Carsten.
