Visitors at the gym going super hard //VENT//
So last night we had some visitors from a nearby school, the meetup was organized by the coaches of the two schools and I KNOW our coach informed theirs that most of us attending are pretty new (one brown belt, one purple, a couple blues and 5-6 whites with a year training at most).
Most of them were pretty advanced but rather chill.
BUT, one dude in particular created problems almost every roll.
Despite knowing that we were almost all newbies, he kept attacking leg locks, knee bars etc. going almost full send every time.
When he rolled with me, he caught me 3-4 times in some creative versions of a straight ankle lock, immediately ripping them almost full force, my Achilles still hurts today. He even almost got me in a heel hook but luckily I recognized it and stopped the roll immediately, telling him I need to go to work the next day and I’d prefer to have my remaining knee ligaments still attached.
What is it with this kind of people? Congratulations, you fucked the ankle of a guy that’s been doing Bjj for 6 months that doesn’t have a clue on how to defend leg attacks cause he can’t even get close to the legs being a white belt and almost fucked his knee in what was supposed to be a friendly inter-school matchup.
Apart from telling this kind of people to fuck off, concede the tap as soon as he touched the legs and refusing to roll again, what can a rookie do?
