I am planning on taking a bus from Athens to Lefkada, then taking ferries to Kefalonia and Zakynthos before flying out of Zakynthos to Athens and back home. We've got four nights on each island. We want to rent a car on each island, however, it looks like the ferry routes will all depart on the opposite ends (southern) of the ferry ports we would arrive in (northern). If we rent a car on the northern ends when we arrive, is there a way to drop it off and get to the southern end to catch our next ferry or should we get off the ferry and find a way to get to a car rental near the southern departure port?
