Amazing Stage Door and Show Experience!

Hey! I just saw Hamilton for the second time last night, though this was my first time at the Rodgers Theatre. The last time I saw it was back home during the Boston tour in 2023. First off, it was already amazing the first time! But seeing it at the actual Rogers was amazing! I recently got into stage dooring at performances, and I had the most shocking experience ever last night, in an amazing way! My mom and I were seated in the wheelchair seats, as she’s disabled with very bad mobility at times. First off, the Rodgers may have the best disability seating we’ve experienced. The legroom was amazing for her, and she was actually able to enjoy a show without being in pain from her knees. Which is not the same at other theatres in disability seating I’ve been to. We were also relatively close to the stage door, so we were able to be one of the first ones there and at the barricade! About a minute or two after getting to the rails, a woman came out of the stage door. She walked around the barricade asking if anyone was a musician. I’m not the most social person, so I was scared to speak up even though I’ve played violin since the 2nd grade, and I’m currently entering my 2nd year of undergrad. (I am in no way a professional or really any good, though lol). Eventually I saw that no one was saying anything, so I finally had the courage to say something, even though I was extremely confused. She walked up to me and asked me what I play, and I said the violin. Then out of nowhere she hands me a signed drumhead from the drummer that was used at the show! I felt bad because I was completely in shock, but man, did it catch me off guard lol. I am so incredibly grateful for it, and it’s definitely the highlight of this trip. I was also able to get a signature from Marcus John, who signed my playbill and even asked to sign the drumhead as well! Is this a normal occurrence at the Rodgers? Honestly, I have no words for my emotions; this was such an amazing experience, and a major thank you to the woman who gave it to me! I’ll protect it with my life. I was also wondering if anyone knows who signed it. I’m trying to make out the autographs, but I want to make sure I’m actually correct on who signed it!
