How do founders balance speed vs quality when preparing for fundraising?
One thing I’ve been struggling with is whether to move fast or take more time preparing for fundraising. On one hand, I don’t want to delay things too much and miss the right timing or momentum. On the other hand, rushing into investor conversations with a half-prepared pitch seems risky. There’s also pressure to “just start” and iterate based on feedback, but I feel like first impressions with investors matter a lot.
So how do experienced founders handle this trade-off?
Do you spend weeks refining everything before outreach, or do you start early and improve along the way?
