23 Y/O Male Advice for head trauma after lawnmower accident?
Hello, I’m a 23 M non smoker taking no medications with no existing health issues. Yesterday I took too steep an incline on a rideable mower and ended up flipping the mower backwards a couple times, hitting the front of my head hard on the grass during the last flip. It luckily wasn’t that bad due to the seatbelt and roll bar protecting my head, and I didn’t pass out at any point.
Today I’ve had a mild headache, some bumps on my head where I hit it, and crazy soreness in my neck which I think is whiplash. I tried going to two doc-in-the-box places which both told me immediately to go to the ER to get a CT-scan which I do not have the budget for.
Is this normal practice for a head injury? Is there anywhere I can go to see if I have a concussion without going to the hospital? Many thanks.
