Indoor dog sleeping outside for a few days- best approach?
We are going to the lake for the Fourth of July and bringing our dog with us. We will be staying in a camper for about a week there but our puppy (9months) won’t have space inside the camper to sleep, we can hardly fit enough people in there. We adopted her a few months ago, she is not fully trained yet, but she is comfortable in our home and with us, and she doesn’t mind being in her crate. We don’t let her sleep with us, we crate her in the living room at night and while we are at work because she can’t be trusted to free roam without any supervision yet. She is a Sheppard/ retriever mutt at about 70lbs, she loves the winter. I was going to bring her crate and toys and put her in a tent while we are there to protect from bugs/wildlife/distractions at night. Any other suggestions? I’ll keep dry food on the normal feeding schedule and water accessible at all times… not sure how else to keep her cool if it’s hot or calm in the new environment. I appreciate any help, thanks!
