Parents/Students of DLSMHSI SHS: What should we expect?
Hi everyone!
An anxious mom here, so I would really appreciate your insights. 😊
My son will be an incoming Senior High School student at DLSMHSI, and I'd love to hear about your experiences. What should we expect in terms of:
• Class schedule and daily routine • How many books/materials students usually need to bring each day. Do they need to bring a lot? • The overall school environment and culture • Student support and opportunities • Social life and making friends
As parents, one concern that naturally comes to mind is bullying. I know no school is perfect and every school has its own challenges, but how is DLSMHSI when it comes to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students?
This will also be my son's first time transferring to a much bigger school, and it's quite a distance from home. He chose HSI because he hopes to pursue a medical-related course in the future, so we're very excited but also a little nervous about this new chapter.
I understand that every student's experience is different, but I would be grateful for any honest feedback, advice, or things you wish you had known before starting SHS at DLSMHSI.
Thank you so much!
