Unsure whether or not to start a new job
Recently got hired at a retail store for $22/hr. Will be working between 20-40hrs a week. There’s an hourly sales quota that needs to be met or you get less hours next schedule. After doing some math and calculating taxes and having to hire a dog walker I’m basically going to be bringing home 12-14/hr depending how many shifts I get and how many dog walks needed. This is a second job, the first doesn’t pay a ton but is work from home and covers basic expenses. Living in Toronto where a living wage is 28ish….is there really even a point in wasting my time with this? It would be 40-60min commute total and the shifts are 8.5hrs because of unpaid lunch. I have no debt and need more money, but feeling like this isn’t even worth my time when I could be enjoying summer and hanging with my dog. Thoughts?
