Just in Finished My hero academia my thoughts (hope for a discussion)
First its crazy how i just finished my hero academia on may 23rd and it actually won the award the same day ( i didn't even realize)
Firstly I rate this anime a 6.5/10 however i will say i did skip season 5 heavily and a bit of season 4 because it was just so slow.
I want to list all the cons cause I am kind of frustrated on how it left things
No high stakes, I mean its typical for the big bad to lose but it might be with some loss but it felt like there was no loss (besides dekus loss of one for all). Nobody dies besides night eye and im surprised they killed him because literally no one i recall died after that\
To much power of friendship within one for all. I mean i just kind of found it cringe how the users are talking to deku constantly. Just felt a bit weird i don't know why. especially i found none of the vestiges to be cool
No origin story of the vestiges or all for one and his brother. I also feel they could've explained one for all a bit better but i was watching low volume and no subtitles maybe i missed out on that.
no origin story of quirks, this is a bit more optional but it wouldve been nice to see how the world was first when quirks appeared and why they appeared. even something as simple as genetic mutations.
seasons 5 was just like not good, i do wish i watched it now but thats because i finished the story and wish i could watch story more ( i have post series depression) but i remember watching it and it was just so boring.
Deku goes from like pretty average to god level in season 6 insanely fast.
Deku not getting any recognition for what he did i mean inevitably he should be the most popular hero, he literally saved the world. even if he didnt want recognition this is just a by product of him saving the world, no body should even come close.
deku losing his quirk. I mean this is already a low stakes show, might as well give him a happy ending. this leads to my next point
Stupid story of saving tenko, at this point i wouldve liked if he lost one for all due to exerting everything to defeat him instead of this whole "villain needs saving" like what makes no sense. He never give an F about the other villains and it just doenst make sense, the guy is evil.
Bakugos character development, this may suprise alot of people and maybe i didnt watch properly but bakugo was a horrible obnoxious character that legit HATED deku. I mean it jsut doesnt make sense him treating deku nicely. I mean bakugo feeling guilty for all might was genuinely good story telling but him and dekus friendship doesnt make sense.
Bakugo defeating all for one, like how, all for one legit destroyed pro heros no diff in his first appearance, how is bakugo even a threat. I mean its like yuta defeating a full power sukuna. It just would not happen, the gap is to wide, and your telling me all for ones quirks havent awakened as well. He has much more experience then bakugo like shouldnt even be a contest.
