how do you feel about remote government workers?
i work for my county government. my salary is paid by property taxes. we currently come in to the office one day a week.
on remote days its not uncommon for people to finally show as active in teams around 8:30-9 9 and rarely past 4- 4:30. we’ve been told to come in three days a week, and many are actively resisting, saying they have care giving responsibility to pick up their kids after school. they say what does it matter how many hours they work as long as they get the work done. they want their parking paid for $20-25/day. they want their commute time paid for.
what are you thoughts?.
