period is 6 days late w copper IUD
i’ve had my paragard since march 2024 and have experienced pretty consistent cycles since then. my cycle length is pretty short about 26-28 days. i’m now on day 34 and still haven’t gotten my period. i’m starting to panic. i thought i’d tested the effectiveness of my IUD pretty rigorously with my last partner, but i have a new partner now and i’m starting to freak out. i’ve only had 2 partners so now i’m wondering if the last guy was just infertile or something and my IUD hasn’t been working this entire time. i took a pregnancy test on monday and it came back negative but i’m wondering if it would have been too soon to tell?? i know periods can be delayed by stress and i did have a very stressful end of the semester but it’s hard to imagine it affecting me like this when i almost never have late periods and certainly never this late. has anyone had a very late period with a copper IUD?? i know this would be normal if i was still in the first few months of having it, but i’ve had it for 2 years……
