Need Help Understanding Swing Highs, Lows & Market Structure
Hello everyone, 👋
I got into day trading around 1 year and 5 months ago. Im trying to master GBPJPY London session. I’m still learning, but I can grasp a lot of concepts like equilibrium, FVGs, and IFVGs. I understand that the market moves in higher highs and higher lows, lower highs and lower lows, or sideways during consolidation. However, I’m still struggling with basic market structure and understanding swing highs and swing lows in real time on the chart.
I started out watching TJR’s bootcamp, where he explained highs and lows like this: a green candle followed by a red candle, where the highest wick of those two candles is considered the high, and a red candle followed by a green candle, where the lowest wick of those two candles is considered the low.
That part is pretty easy for me to understand, but I think I’m confusing simple highs and lows with overall market structure. 🤔 I’ve watched several videos on market structure and swing highs and swing lows, but it still hasn’t fully clicked for me.
I don’t have friends or family to discuss trading with, and I feel like I can only learn so much alone through YouTube.
I’d really love to become part of a trading community, so I’m trying my luck here. 🍀 🍀 🍀
I’d be deeply grateful to anyone willing to spend a little time helping me understand this better. ❤️ 🤗 🌟
