Papery bits/stem and what to do
I have had this aloe plant for about a year and a half. At some point I forgot about the plant and stopped caring for it. Later we started to deep clean and life got a little stressful. This was a little under a year ago. My cat all the suddenly decided she wanted to try and eat it (she doesn’t normally have a plant eating habit) while we cleaned. The plant already looked dead/dieing at the time and I was too stressed to care. I told my significant other to put it on top of the fridge just to get it out of the way and we would deal with it later.
Later ended up being a couple weeks ago while looking for a pot for a new plant I acquired. When I took it down from the fridge and to my surprise I saw it had new growth! This plant was not watered in a dimly lit area for some time.
I’ve been watering and caring for it like i normally do and the new growth has continued. I am not sure what to do with the dry paper like parts the plant has from when it was dieing. It appears that at one point it also tried to make some pups while we were not looking?
Although most of the plant is only attached by thin pieces it still seems to be thriving. Do I leave these parts be? Do I cut and try to propagate? Any advice would be appreciated!
