I happened to come across a post by Deadeye_SC3 (u/TTV_DalliesRl) from two months ago in the "tightlacing" subreddit, titled "make corseting progress." Since an utterly pig-headed asshole of a moderator—in a fit of delusions of grandeur—kicked me out of that subreddit, I have a favor to ask: could someone please pass on my congratulations to Deadeye_SC3 for their incredible success on my behalf? That would be very kind. Thanks a lot for the trouble!

I would have preferred to post this in the “corsets” subreddit, but the idiot moderator there, with his tiny brain, didn't get (or didn't want to get) how harmless my comment was, which is why I got banned from it. But whatever:
Many of us who wear corsets do so for health reasons. With the weather we’re having right now, they’re faced with a tough choice: either go without and endure the pain, or wear their corset and risk circulatory issues or heart problems.
I’d like to take this opportunity to express my respect for them and wish them all the best.

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t wear my corset openly (see also my post on “discovering”). The reason is simple: as an older man living in a rural community, I simply lack the courage to be open about my “fetish.” I don’t want to expose myself to the likely embarrassing situations that would arise if the corset were discovered.

So, my question—directed at all other corset wearers who also don’t wear theirs openly—is this: have you ever experienced any embarrassing moments while wearing a corset?

Almost everyone here who wears a tight corset does so with a certain sense of pleasure or derives a feeling of well-being from it. This is hardly surprising, for who would wear a tight corset if they were mentally opposed to it?
There are many advantages to lacing up a tight corset, as highlighted in the numerous posts and comments here (health benefits, pain relief, improved aesthetics, better posture, and even vanity, which are just as valid as any other). Furthermore, in my view, the few disadvantages do not carry significant weight.
However: if the weather forecast for Western Europe for next week proves accurate and we really do experience temperatures of up to 36 degrees Celsius, it is likely to get very warm in a corset, even if it is a mesh one. Conclusion: some temperatures simply won’t allow us our laced-up pleasure, to put it mildly; exception: ars_ski, who has tailored a corset that is very temperature-neutral to wear. At this point: congratulations, ars_ski, coupled with a touch of envy (LOL).
