Which schools should I realistically target for transfer if my long term goal is IB/PE/HF?

I’m currently a lower sophomore at Queens College and by Fall 2027 I should have around 80–83 credits, ~3.5+ GPA, finance/business analytics background, projects, and hopefully CFA Level I completed (May 2027).

My long-term interests are:

Investment Banking

Private Equity

Hedge Funds

Finance + Business Analytics

Strong alumni network

Good campus life/social experience

Strong recruiting outcomes

Long-term ROI

I’m trying to build a realistic but ambitious transfer list. Current schools I’m considering:

Indiana University Bloomington

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

University of Texas at Austin

University of Florida

University of Wisconsin-Madison

Pennsylvania State University

Purdue University

Ohio State University

Fordham University

Baruch College

Binghamton University

New York University

University of California, Los Angeles

Right now my thinking is:

Reach schools: NYU, UCLA, maybe UNC/UT

Main targets: IU Kelley, UIUC, Wisconsin

Safer/value options: Binghamton, Baruch, Penn State, OSU

I care a lot about:

actual recruiting outcomes

alumni network

campus/town experience

realistic transfer odds

ROI vs debt

I’m NOT trying to blindly chase prestige if the outcomes don’t justify the cost. Given my profile and goals, which schools would you prioritize and why?
