My starting GK is retiring 3 days before the biggest game of his life
Second season at Notts County and I have managed the team to a League one playoff final, to secure promotion to the Championship.
My starting GK, a real life Notts fan and hero of my playoff campaign, getting us a 0-0 when Lincoln had 2.04 XG and then saving 2 penalties in the shootout, before scoring his own to win the tie, has decided he wants to retire just before the biggest game of his career.
To make matters worse, I have a wage and scouting budget in the red and no transfer budget to shift across, so I haven't been able to sign a reliable back up and am stuck with a 21 year old, operating at a national north level to replace him at Wembley.
Please help me get him fired up and playing in the final with any suggestions to keep him on at the club for 3 more days.
