Trying to determine if I qualify for citizenship through descent
I have a lot of German immigrants in my family tree but I’m going to provide the most recent one which is my maternal grandmother’s parents.

Basically my maternal grandmother has only German ancestors that I could find since her father was born to German immigrants and her mother was herself a German immigrant.
Sorry for the formatting, since I have multiple ancestors here of German descent I didn’t know which were most relevant (my great grandmother was obviously born German but also naturalized in the us by the time my grandmother was born and technically (arguably?) didn’t even marry a foreigner since her husband was born to parents that hadn’t naturalized in the us yet.
How does the naturalization thing work? Did the line end with my great grandparents because they had naturalized by the time my grandmother was born? If someone is born German abroad at what point would they be naturalized? I thought the whole thing back then was that Germany wouldn’t allow you to have dual citizenship so what’s all this about unbroken chains of citizenship? I’m so confused!!
Also great grandfather registered for the draft but that was after my grandmother was born (and her mother was born in Germany as well).
Any help would be super appreciated I’ve tried to sort this out but I’m just confused at the moment. Thank you!!!!
