3.74 gpa 3.65 science, 509 MCAT (127 125 130 127)
100 hours scribing
2000 hours expected as an interventional pain MA @ ortho office (start in two weeks)
400 hours research (no pubs, 300hr in evo bio lab, one in university cancer center)
TA for 4 courses (genetics, cell function, evo bio twice)
500 hours tutoring inner city kids
500 hours volunteering (food bank and community cleanup)
400 hours of fraternity leadership (scholarship and athletics, 200 of hours to cancer research philanthropy, raised 18k in a week)
1000 hours in construction and home renovation with dad
100 hr shadowing (ortho, I pain, em, oncology)
2 letters from TA prof, two from MD, one from NP, all strong
Great why medicine and personal statement (mother cancer diagnosis as a child)

Good Enough I Guess

Is this a “strong” 509? I thought I killed cars and psych but I guess not. Does having a 130 on bio mean more than all 127’s and 128
