Dublin Embassy

My husband and I have been married for almost a year. We live in Ireland and have a baby who I am working on his birth abroad registry at the moment but how it works out is baby has dual US Irish citizenship as do I. Husband is strictly Irish. We have been looking at applying for the CR1 Visa and I’ve spent the time gathering all the necessary documents over the years needed. I’m just coming to find that this process can take nearly 2 years. I’m really struggling with staying in Ireland like I just don’t want to live here any longer and go back to the U.S, but I don’t want to leave my husband behind without us. Are there any other options? Since we both live together in Ireland we would have to go to the embassy. I thought I read somewhere that he cannot come over on a work visa at all if we are married? Is that true? Is the CR1 still the best route?
