Are Zamberlan Vioz Lux boots overkill?
I have trail runners that I use for light hikes and trail running and I am looking for a one-stop shop hiking boot that will be sufficient for everything from day hikes to short overnight backpacking trips. I am trying to decide between the Scarpa Terra GTX, Zamberlan Trail Lite Evo, and Zamberlan Vioz Lux boots. I'm doing a bit trip to England's Lake District this summer and all would be sufficient for that but I would like boots that could also tackle rockier terrain as well.
All three pairs fit well and are comfortable and all are on sale. The Vioz Lux boots may fit the best but they seem like tanks and are at least 1 pound heavier for the pair. I'm wondering if folks think the Vioz are too heavy? Or if y'all would recommend them?
