Im new to the world of amplifying an acoustic. I have a Fender Acoustic with a Fishman piezo. It sounds terrible through my electric guitar amp (Orange Crush 35rt). To be expected given what I've read.

So I bought a Joyo AD2 preamp/DI pedal. But there is hardly any improvement. So it seems I really need a dedicated acoustic amp? I was under the illusion that the preamp pedal would take the frequencies of the piezo. But perhaps not. At least it was cheap so not a huge waste of monies. Or is it better to get magnetic pickup instead.
