What program do you follow?

Almost 2 months ago now I discovered the Nike Run Club app and at first I would just experiment with a couple days or a week of different plans just to see what it’s like to use it. Then about 3 weeks ago I bought my Garmin Forerunner 165 and 2 weeks ago I began the 10k training program on Nike Run Club with the intention of completing the whole plan this time. My watch also has my 10k race date programmed and I’ve noticed the runs it recommends are always much longer in duration or calls for a much longer periods of higher speeds. For example: this week was week 2 of the 10k plan on NRC and I had 2 recovery runs of 14:00 and 16:40, 25:00 of speed intervals, another 25 minute recovery run, and tomorrow is the week’s long run of 3.1 miles. Meanwhile all my watch’s suggested workouts are at least 36+ minutes of varying intensity. I’m not sure if I should trust the process of slow and steady build up I’m getting from NRC or if I should increase volume like my watch wants? What training programs are you guys following?
