Is there anything I can do to help tone this or is it something I need to learn to accept?
Background- I’m 5’5 currently 132 down from 161. Over the last two years I’ve taken my fitness and health more seriously and lost about 30 pounds naturally. I workout 4-5 times a week (strength mat Pilates, yoga, and strength training) + eat mainly whole foods 90% of the time. I don’t track hard calories as I can get obsessive, but on any given day I eat between 1,500-1,700 calories a day. In the past few months I’ve been on a cut and have seen a lot of progress and muscle growth which feels great! But I’m struggling with this stomach area. I have abs lines, but for some reason still look out of shape? I don’t know how to describe it other than it looks like a layer of cellulite over my tummy? Specifically there’s a weird line right above my belly button. I’ve never been super out of shape, but a few years ago I gained 20-30 pounds and ever since my stomach has looked like this. Is there anything I can do to help eliminate it or is just something I have to learn to accept? It makes me very self conscious and even though I feel like definition is there, it just looks off. I included two photos, both taken yesterday, and would love to hear some feedback! I do train abs twice a week, but is there something I can add to help tone up? Any specific routines that have worked for you?
