I got my NHA certification on 1/20/2025 so a bit over a year ago and I’m looking to use it but last time I applied for a job I couldn’t get an interview unless it was for a full time position. I am full time in school and my last (half full) semester is in fall. I am also currently pregnant and about to enter my second trimester. So there’s a lot going on lol. I don’t technically need to work (and the pay is terrible anyways), I got this cert because I would like to work for a year before applying to medical school so I don’t want this to be a waste of money if I don’t actually work as an MA. So do y’all think this is feasible or an ok idea? I’d work 5 months before the baby is born and then after some time off I think I’d go back (preferably part time) until the following summer. I know it seems so unnecessary but it would be extra money and experience. And as much as I know the pay sucks, I enjoyed my last healthcare job in the emergency department so looking to get back to it for at least some time.

Also maybe they wouldn’t even hire me given I got certified about a year ago?

My 2007 RAV4 is about to hit 200,000 miles. I have read on here that “if you take proper care and do regular maintenance on it” it can last for a while but the average mileage on them seems to be around 200k.

I don’t really know what is meant by “maintenance” other than an oil change. I change the oil regularly and obviously I change tires or battery if needed and anything else that comes up but what other maintenance can I do that would ensure the car lasts for a while longer (preferably until 300k if possible or at least 250k). I’ve had it since 2020 and the only things I’ve done to it are tires and rotors change, oil change, battery change, and that’s about it (and most of these things I did when I got it from the previous owner and haven’t done since other than oil and tires). I’ve taken it to a reputable mechanic some time ago and once more recently trying to be proactive and asked to check if anything can be done in terms of maintenance and both times they said they didn’t find anything wrong.

I am just trying to see if I should expect it to last much longer and if I can do things to make it last longer or if I should start looking for a new car given the RAV4 is pretty old.
