Is it always like this?

My husband recently became a police officer and the hate we’ve received on social media is astounding. He’s a good officer who cares about the safety of others but it seems like everything he does gets scrutinized online. It’s a small town that he works in so everyone is always watching and if he gets food on his break or answers the phone in his car, people will complain constantly. Is this what it’s like to be a police officer? Is this something I need to get used to? If so how can I let this not affect me, and how do I best support him?

Should I use all my savings and pay off my house?

I live in a moble home and we have a mortgage of about 6,000 dollars left to pay. The interest rate is 9%. The monthly payment is 800 a month and that’s always been easy to pay. But recently my husband’s hours have been cut and since we have a baby our monthly bills have gone up. So here’s my question we have about 7,000 dollars in savings, should we pay off the house with our savings and only have 1,000 left saved or should we tough it out and just get by until we get more hours and hold onto our savings incase of emergency?
