21M / 3 month pre-op - possible expectations - good conditions for a successfull HT ?
Hey everyone,
I’m having my hair transplant at HLC Ankara in January and wanted to share my current situation to get some honest opinions from people who have more experience with this.
The surgery is already booked, so there’s no turning back now 😄 I spent a really long time researching clinics and eventually decided on HLC because it was one of the few places where I had a genuinely good feeling about the whole process.
That being said, I’m currently overthinking the possible outcome quite a bit. I keep wondering how good my starting situation actually is and what kind of result I can realistically expect.
I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much because I’d rather have realistic expectations than expect an amazing result and end up disappointed.
Maybe some of you have had a similar starting point and can give me a rough idea of what might be possible. You obviously see a lot of great results online and on forums, but there are also some cases that don’t turn out as well.
I don’t really have enough technical knowledge to judge my donor area myself, so that’s probably the part I’m most unsure about.
HLC estimated around 2,800–3,300 grafts for the frontal area only. They mentioned that the crown could potentially be addressed with another procedure in the future, but for now my main priority is definitely rebuilding the front.
I’m also planning to start oral finasteride soon, as this was recommended to me, especially considering my age.
Would really appreciate any honest feedback on my situation. What do you think I can realistically expect from around 2,800–3,300 grafts, assuming the donor is decent?
Thanks!
