Building a fitness app that tailors workouts to your actual passion/hobby—would you use it? [af]
I’m an equestrian and I realized generic fitness apps suck because they don’t connect to what you actually care about. “Leg day” is boring. But “strengthen your core for better balance in the saddle” hits different.
So I want to build an app that does this for any hobby or passion. You tell it what you care about (rock climbing, dancing, martial arts, surfing, whatever), and it builds a fitness routine around that.
Instead of random exercises, every workout explains why it matters for your specific passion. Better seat stability for riders. Better grip and core for climbers. Better footwork for dancers. You get the idea.
Questions:
• Would you actually use something like this? Or just stick with generic apps?
• What’s your hobby/passion that you wish had tailored fitness training?
• What would make you subscribe/pay for it?
• What features would seal the deal?
