Hey everyone,

I’m new to this sub, so forgive me if this is the wrong place. I’m currently a student pursuing my degree in Informatics in a small PA town that I recently moved to.

I have a HUGE interest in data analytics (Power BI, building dashboards, presenting insights, etc.) and something that I thought about is how do SMALL restaurants manage this?

Would it be weird to ask them if I could use their data to both help their business and build my portfolio? Just wanted some opinions on how to go about this.

My goal is essentially to make myself more presentable to employers whilst developing my skills for businesses that directly get a benefit.
