I wanna say that I don't think that train whistle is bad, I just don't think it's the best trinket either. It's like okay or sum. that's why I said it's mid. mediocre. in the middle. if I had to put it in a tier list 👀👀👀 I'd put it in like C+. I guess you can consider this a hot take idfk. also don't take the image seriously it's just a joke brooooo....

train whistle helps a lot when dealing with twisted vee and makes certain twisted combos less dangerous (but it's still gonna be shite when you're on a floor like greenhouse variant 1). it also makes ichor leaks far weaker than they were. oh and also twisted finn and rodger exist. ok anyways.

the thing with train whistle is that it's kinda situational:

if you don't encounter twisted vee, this trinket does nothing. If you're going for like floor bajillion million then you'll actually get insane value out of train whistle because vee basically spawns every floor. if you're not and instead going for like floor 50 or 100, then train whistle wouldn't be as useful since vee will spawn less.

if you don't encounter ichor leaks, this trinket does nothing. and even then ichor leaks on some floors create little to no threat at all. it's easy to avoid ichor puddles and it's not all that punishing stepping into one when being chased if you know how to conserve your stamina (unless you're like a slow toon then get fucked lol). also tisha can just instantly get rid of ichor puddles with her ability now that they buffed her a bit.

if you don't encounter twisted finn, this trinket does nothing. I'm going to say the same thing above, his ichor puddles are easy to avoid and also tisha. if you step into an ichor puddle of his that has twisted barnaby in it I'm just going to say that's entirely your fault because it's very easy to spot him. Srry bros.

if you don't encounter twisted rodger, this trinket does nothing. I don't even know how you'd take damage from twisted rodger unless you're like not paying attention.

there's also like teh twisted board, but it's quite rare that you could encounter twisted vee or rodger or finn 2x frequently. it also just seems like the board lies sometimes.

train whistle (at least in my eyes) can also seem like training wheels. sure it'll help with y'know twisted vee and stuff but you also need to know how to survive without it. if you rely on train whistle too much, then taking it off could result in you playing worse because you're so used to being immune to slowness.

really the problem with train whistle is that it all comes down to how bad your luck is. if you have good luck where twisted vee or ichor leaks never spawn, then this trinket will serve little purpose. I'd probably like it so that train whistle is reworked to where it lets the user along with others around the user recover 2x faster from negative status effects. just make it like vigil from dbd fuck it.

anyways I'm probably gonna get a lot of down votes from this. kinda nervous to post this but type your own styuff in the replies and then I'm just going to not read them.
