Everything Was Fine Until the Billing… Didn’t Go the Way I Expected !

Visited OWND! store for the first time yesterday and honestly I have mixed feelings about the experience.

The clothes were actually really nice. I liked the collection and after trying a few outfits I finally selected one shirt for ₹799 and one trouser for ₹899. Everything was going fine till billing.

While I was standing at the counter, the staff was offering free deo spray testing, so I was trying those. I didn’t plan on buying any deo though. Meanwhile the guy at the counter made the bill. I was paying by card and the mistake from my side was that I didn’t check the final amount before swiping.

After payment, I noticed ₹2597 got deducted from my account, which immediately confused me because my total should’ve been much lower. When I asked him to check, he realized he had accidentally added the trouser quantity twice in the bill.

I understand mistakes can happen, so initially I was calm about it. He said he would refund the extra amount. But then the whole experience became frustrating because the staff member didn’t know the refund procedure properly. I literally stood there for around 10–15 minutes while he kept asking other colleagues what to do on the system and how to process it.

Eventually I got the ₹899 back in cash, but honestly the customer experience felt disappointing, especially for a first visit. The staff should properly verify the bill before final payment. Yes, I should’ve checked too, but I only noticed the prices after billing while putting the clothes in my bag.

What if I had left the store without checking the transaction? I would’ve lost ₹899 and then had to come back again later, wasting more time.

The clothes are good, but this whole incident honestly made me think twice or even thrice before visiting the store again for shopping. It also makes me hesitant while recommending the store to others, because good products alone are not enough — customer experience matters too.

Did anyone faced similar issues anywhere in the city in any other store ?

Note:- used ChatGPT for repharsing it. 🙃
