Anyone else had such absolutely brain-dead customer service from Takealot.
Ordered a speaker stand from Takealot, item was listed as heavy duty, item I received was so poorly made it would have buckled under the weight of match box.
Returned item, ordered a different stand, time and money wasted waiting for it to arrive. New stand arrived, it was about 30cm shorter than what was advertised.
Contacted Takealot, again, my email queries were ignored, I just kept getting told I need to return the item before they can offer a solution. I said I can't return it as I need it for work, but feel a partial refund is fair as I paid for a more expensive item but received a shorter one.
Simply got a copy/paste email asking to return the item. wtf?
Asked to escalate issue to a manager who asked me to send pictures of item including packaging, then they could offer some options of a solution. Sent pictures, manager responded simply with, "Please return item before we can proceed."
Am I missing something? How is it it possible for customer service to be this abysmal?
