Correct me if i am wrong but it looks like Kratos was pushing thor back here
Kratos was starting to push Thor back despite being on his knees, while Thor was better positioned as well as having a better grip on the hammer, you can also see Thor electrocuting the hammer to make Kratos lose his grip and choosing to hit him taking advantage of because he was losing the strenght off.
Thor realised this and strike an unexpected blow to kratos jaw and killed him.
