I got tired of asking 'is this college worth it?' in WhatsApp groups and getting 3 different answers from people with agendas. So I built something.

Every time someone asks about a college in a WhatsApp group, the same thing happens.

The alumni who got placed at a good company say it's great. The ones who didn't say it's terrible. Someone's cousin who visited once has a hot take. The actual current students are too scared to say anything real because the group has faculty in it.

You end up with 47 messages and zero useful signal.

Reddit is better, but threads go cold. A post from 2021 about placements at a tier-2 college in Pune is not telling you what's happening there right now. And searching for a specific college across subreddits is a nightmare.

I started building CampusPulse because I wanted one place where:

  • Every college has its own profile and a live feed of student memos
  • Reviews are fully anonymous, so people actually say what they think
  • A Truth Score surfaces the colleges with the most honest, verified engagement - not the ones with the loudest PR
  • Everything is searchable and structured, not buried in a thread from 3 years ago

It's a PWA built specifically for Indian universities. No app store required. Works on any phone.

We're live now with real college profiles. No traction yet - just launched and genuinely want to know if this is solving a real problem for students or if I'm missing something obvious.

What do you actually do when you need honest intel on a college before making a decision?
