Declining conference presentation opportunity to boycott?

I’m a PhD student so I’m curious to hear from other doc students as well as faculty on this. I’m slated to present at a conference later this summer, and the association is currently being boycotted against (ASA, this is widely known so I don’t think I’m inappropriately calling them out!). Many folks I know are declining to attend or present, and I’m unsure if this would be a bad move for me. I support the boycott, but as a student, am not sure if turning this down hurts me in any way (both short term and long term). I am lucky to have presented my work at other conferences so far, so it wouldn’t be a total loss of experience on that front — though it’s obviously ideal to get as much exposure and experience as possible at this stage in my career.

For others who have navigated similar experiences, or if there are folks out there who are similarly thinking about ASA’s specific situation this year, what are your thoughts, advice, plans?
