Elementary teachers only!

Hi everyone, this post is for elementary teachers. If you aren't one, feel free to read if you'd like or comment!

I'm an RBT, and for those unfamiliar with what that is, to sum it up, I work with intense behaviors such as kicking, biting, punching, spitting, hair pulling, tantrums, you name it! It's a mentally exhausting job (as most are), and it's gotten to the point where it gives me anxiety to go in and start sessions. Ive always had teaching as my second option. The pay for an RBT at my company is good. I get $30 an hour. I've heard complaints from teachers about not getting paid enough. I'm not switching for the money, but I also want to make sure I'm living on an affordable wage. If any elementary teachers could give me some pros and cons about teaching in an elementary school setting, I would love to hear them! I possess a lot of qualities that most teachers should have, such as kindness, leadership, organization, creativity, etc. I mostly want to work with kindergarten-4th grade. Also, I know I would still deal with behaviors; however, it's one-to-one sessions where I mentally cannot do it anymore. Thank you for reading!
