Inositol has reduced my appetite immensely

I'm 40, this is not the first time I've tried inositol. I think around age 25 I tried it and got a massive headache and quit right away. This time I got the Whole Story brand powder and over the last two weeks slowly brought myself up to a full scoop today (2g).

Last few days something was odd about my appetite. Id eat and feel full with zero urge to make more food. I'd get a small 100 calorie snack and had zero urge to grab a second. Like, I was done eating and fine with it.

2g diminished my hunger. Is this how normal people feel?

I'm worried it's a coincidence though? Seems too good to be true otherwise glp-1 wouldn't be needed lol

Vascepa causes gout and bone pain? Helppp!

I asked my Dr to switch me from Lovaza to Vascepa because my LDL went from 116 to 139.

Little did I know it has way more potential side effects than Lovaza. Apparently it can make uric acid build up.

I've had a gout attack before and I do *not* want another.

Lovaza changed my life. My horrific period cramps went away and my quality of life improved.

Now I'm scared to switch to Vascepa. I actually asked for a Statin and he did not think my numbers were bad enough but said he would prescribe me a fibrate but I googled and there's basically no long term evidence fibrates help with anything.

Ughhhh. Is it weird I'm scared of vascepa and fibrates but not scared of a low dose statin? My trigs were 584. Lovaza 2G got them down to 350.

(I'm too scared to take 4G because of potential artirial fibrillation)

I don't know what to do. Find another doctor and just ask for a statin, stay on lovaza and see if that's enough with a very low saturated fat diet?
