*assuming I know how to set up an electrolysis station*, I have two questions:

1. can I use it to remove rust from a maragin blade (a regular BF FIE blade), or would I risk changing the properties of the blade?

2. how about using electrolysis to remove rust from barrels? There is rust on the inside of the barrel, which makes the tip feel "crunchy".

To avoid misunderstanding: consider blade and barrel as separate items.

I am considering switching my plastic French grips for french grips with a metal core.

However, the tangs on my weapons are canted pretty much to the limit. They are canted both sideways and downwards. In disassembling them, I noticed that the cant does not begon at the very base of the tang, but a few cm (about 1.5in) back.

With the plastic grips this was not a problem, as the plastic deforms - just need a little force.

I am wondering if I will be able to fit a metal-core french grip, and you like to hear opinions before I actually invest on that.
