I just chuckled at the scene, don't know why. After his Daredevil speech of hearing his little boy say "get 'em daddy" that being replaced by this guy nodding and whispering do it under his breath would be hilarious.
I would love to see the next game be both a sequel in a way for those that want that and something new for ones that want that. I understand they did something similar for MK1 but dropped the ball. Not sure first hand since I don't follow Mortal Kombat, but it doesn't mean it couldn't work here. Injustice already has multiverse weaved into its story.
This way some dead characters could return, we could have a non-evil superman, different versions of characters (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, etc.) and they could play a part in the story and meet each other.
We could also get versions of characters from different places like Peacemaker / Vigilante from the peacemaker show, Absolute characters from the Absolute universe, Crime syndicate, Animated versions of characters (Like Batman the Animated series Batman as premier skins)
