This is to save all efforts into wondering or for those who are curious?

DO YOU THINK THIS IS THE SMART MOVE OR A BAD MOVE?

Scare post for tradies and builders you can not f**k around no more

Homeowners now have more power than ever because of new policies and laws that protect them against defective or incomplete building work.

Many builders and tradies still do not understand that there is now a Building and Plumbing Commission. It works similarly to food inspectors for restaurants, except this system covers building work, renovations, plumbing, and household jobs. Homeowners can report builders or tradies for poor workmanship, unfinished jobs, lack of cooperation, or failing to respond to complaints.

If a complaint is made and the builder ignores it, refuses to fix the issue, or cannot provide a reasonable explanation, the matter can quickly escalate. Authorities and insurers now have stronger powers to act without forcing homeowners through long court battles, expensive legal fees, or years of delays.

One of the biggest changes is that homeowners can now make insurance claims for defective or incomplete work much faster. In many cases, they no longer need to prove the builder is dead, insolvent, or has disappeared before insurance steps in or need their permission which will be coming out of their pocket and penalty will be higher then the original and worst if you ignore insurance email/phone call from them.

This means builders and tradies cannot simply avoid responsibility by ignoring emails, letters, phone calls, or complaints. If evidence is provided, insurers can become involved regardless of whether the builder agrees or cooperates. The insurance policy is attached to the builder or company name, and any payouts or penalties can financially impact them for years.

The game has changed. Builders and tradies who do the right thing, communicate properly, and fix issues have nothing to worry about. But those who ignore complaints, leave jobs unfinished, or refuse to cooperate are now far more exposed than before.

Homeowners today have more protection, more power, and more ways to resolve disputes without needing to spend huge amounts of time and money going through courts and lawyers and the game changer is they don't need a YES from you to make you PAID through your debt and higher fee added for half a job done or a dodgy move you did from your end through as simply as home owners opening their mouth to the insurance won't be hard to claim as it use to be.
