Mid-career pivot options
I am mid-age & have found myself always working for corporations to optimize their bottom line. I want out. (I do not wish to disclose details as it is a small industry).
I am passionate about: incarceration advocacy (improving conditions especially), & bringing down sentencing guidelines for non-violent offenses. I love Texas & its great resources but feel increasing alarm for "ghost wells" & how those affect our precious aquifer & water resources in general. Born in west Texas & live here. Willing to re-locate.
I love green spaces & being outside. I love literacy initiatives & middle grade authors especially (I feel they walk a tightrope in content & comprehension that is so impressive). I don't know where to go or what to do. I am caught in a maelstrom of "interests v. income"
Are there people who specialize in this? Where do I start? I thank y'all in even reading this. I am currently employed & am seeking a meaningful, long-term pivot to fulfilling work.
