Built my first SaaS - CommitPosts - Generates changelogs while you ship code
Hi everyone, I’m happy to share that I have built my first SaaS product - CommitPosts.
It all started with a simple idea that how we as developers keep shipping code fast, especially these days with having the leverage of AI but we rarely care about the changelogs.
But if you have a product with real users, then they deserve to know what changed instead of the support team, having to answer the same queries again and again.
This is how I thought of a solution - CommitPosts. I built a simple workflow where you can • create a public page • connect the GitHub repo • sync your commits and merged PRs • generate, review and publish a clean change log in clicks.
It helps in various ways :- • Helps the founders and investors keep track of the momentum of the product • Support team can simply share a link instead of answering the same queries again and again • Build trust among the users as they can see what all changes are made with the releases and ultimately helps them stick with the product for longer period
So this is what I built.
I posted about this few days ago on a different community. I was glad to receive some really valuable feedbacks. Finally was able to ship them all in a day, obviously beauty of building in public and here it continues.
