Cleans up fine
I complained about the Penny Longboard v2 because the tacky grip attracts grime but with a little soap and water, it cleans up fine. Side by side shot of my two blue Penny's. Love 'em both.
Penny Longboard is Freakin' Huge!
My new eBay-find NOS Penny longboard arrived and it is beautiful. It is so massive you could host a rolling picnic or a dance party for two on it.
The Ride: Mellow roll, slower off the line than a 22 or 27, but super maneuverable with plush 70mm wheels and great bushings for my weight at <150
The Deck: Zero flex. I would actually hill bomb on this thing without fearing for my life.
The Catch: The tacky surface is an absolute dirt magnet. Cleaning it meant picking out debris with a toothpick like dogshit or gum stuck in a shoe tread.
Great board, I love the look and feel of it and despite the overly tacky grip, I can't wait to ride it more. Out of all of my boards, I love my Penny boards the best, they fit my style.
Monster Penny Rollin'
Riptide self-lubricating pivot cups, 69mm 78a Cloudride wheels, stock Penny bearings, Bones medium bushings. Deaf and mostly blind kitty checks out the trailer park ride.
New PNW Rain board
My favorite board so far, the Lander Rodeo. After dialing in a couple of things to my taste such as changing the stock bearings and wheels, I love this ride. It's smooth and responsive and having already tested it with wet shoes, I didn't slip a bit, unlike my Nickel board which got slick. I bought it directly from Lander, great customer service and a very cool board. The Lander wheels were nice but I didn't like the ABEC7 bearings and so put Zealous bearings in and swapped the wheels to a set of OJs I had on hand. I've always liked the way the OJs Super Juice felt. I think it will handle great in the rain
