City if Denver plans to heat downtown building with… poop!

Denver is implementing a plan by 2028 to begin heating and cooling governemnet building downtown utilizing thermal energy and energy exchange from sewage. by 2030 7 downtown building are expected to be using the water based system, using heat pumps and heat exchangers.

The backbone of the thermal system uses the oldest continuously running steam heating system in the nation. if (when!) successful, other downtown building will be able to participate in this efficient, environmental msterpiece. I’m proud of Denver and found this article to be a great read and wanted to share.

Great News! Colorado passes HB-1007: Balcony Solar

Polis signed into law Plug-in, otherwise known as, Balcony Solar. The new law creates a pathway to allow for the use of plug-in solar devices, establishes critical safety standards for those products and eliminates unnecessary interconnection barriers by allowing families to use meter collar devices. Interconnect agreements from utilities are not needed up to certain wattage and applies to apartments and condos (even helping prevent HOA barriers).
